We want you to get the care you deserve.

Transforming healthcare

We are specialized physical therapists who provide quality physical therapy for a variety of pelvic, abdominal, and breast health conditions. We approach your care by learning about all aspects of who you are as an individual, so we can treat you as a whole person, and not just your diagnosis. We pride ourselves on listening to our patients so that we can come up with a treatment plan together, one that will work for you and your unique circumstances. We utilize a combination of manual therapy techniques, guidance on exercise and movement, as well as extensive education about your bowel, bladder, sexual function, and other lifestyle habits to help you embody your best self.

What is Akasha?

Akasha is a Sanskrit word that can be translated as “ether" and with the root word, kas, meaning “to be visible” or “open space.” In Hinduism, it is used to mean the essence of everything that exists in the material world.

A brilliant man described the word Akasha as “the cosmic goo” which is similar to a common tissue that we treat during most PT sessions… fascia! The important connective tissue, fascia, connects every bone, muscle, nerve, organ, and vessel. So after learning the word Akasha, it seemed very fitting for this practice.

For us, Akasha represents an approach to your care that is derived from your unique essence and strives to make a connection between your mind and body and the world around you.
